Friendships/Relationships:
Intro, My views, and My Best Friends Wedding

Greetings Brothers, Sisters!  What's uuuup?  Excited to be writing you.  I'd like to thank my man Imana for inviting me.  It's a priveledge and I love your site bro. Look forward to contributing but first let me introduce myself, my name is Ted! Please see my profile for mo info.

Intro to Me and "The Connection Between Friendships & Relationships."
1. What qualifies me, a single brother to write about relationships
2. Preview my views that I will be writing about in the future
3. "My best friends wedding", since you're meeting me and won't hear from me for a month or so: A little intro to my personal friendship/relationship philosophy
What qaulifies me, a single brother to write about relationships?  Well the same thing that qualifies you, I'm alive, man!  Breathing. Not an expert but I have views and opinions.  Plus Imada (Owner of Takingthejourney.com) said I could!  LOL.   Also though a freak I be and not religious, or tied to theier rules but I do have a healthy love of God and had a good moral, spritual upbringing to give me a great foundation for my views about relationships and how to deal with people.  Also though I'm single, I have actually had great relationships and still do.  They are called friendships, there are all kinds and I have learned sooo much from my interaction with my friends. I wanted to comment on what qualifies me because it shows we all have valuable views on relationships AND we all have relationships, just maybe not the exact ones we want.  So maybe until we find that ONE we should enjoy the ones that we can and do have.

That leads to the many views I have about relationships for the young AND for the wise, beatiful & mature   LOL, that I will be writing about in the future:

* What's wrong with me?  Everyone else has a relationship and I don't!
* Playing the friendship field before finding your 'One and truly'.
* What a man should be willing to give.
* When a sister is asking and expecting too much.
* When a sister is not expecting enough.
* On this thought: It's easy to say the right things, so don't be blind & fall for any line.
* How quickly to jump into one.
* How to make relationships last. I've had some last longer than many marraiges.
* Same and opposite sex friendship within the marraige.
* Looking for relationships as opposed to being ready & allowing it happen.
* Being in a marraige/relationship at the cost of happiness and sanity.
* When it's OK for someone to say "Let's be friends".
* If you do or you don't or yah will or won't cha ... open, honest communication is the key to choosing relationships and making them work.
*Respect! ... should I stop!?

I better... I think my time is up.  So one more thought/view I have that I apply to myself, not necessarily for anyone else, though you might consider it for yourself.  To that end I share my personal relationship 'paradigm'... (had to spell check that one... but I love that word! ...A new model, map or way to look at something, that makes it outstandingly clear.)

'My Best Freinds Wedding'

I do want a serious relationship, in fact I'd love to be married.  A happy, working, longlasting one.  So much so that I refuse to just jump into one just for the sake of having one.   So therefore I'm not single and looking, for marraige/serious commitment ...yeees, I said it LOL.  I focus instead on friendships, so that I really can find a great relationship. I'm single and looking for Rewarding friendships and happiness.

See if I had it my way this is how it would go:

I have several great friendships, as I do.  Some last, some don't, I meet new friends, etc.  (note: I encourage my friends to have the freedom to do the same.) Until...one stands out and I have 2 life events happen to me...  I fall in love And I attend my best friends wedding....
as the groom.
I want to be the groom in my best friends wedding. I want my wife to be my best friend and If that doesn't happen, guess what?  I'm doomed to rewarding friendships & happiness for the rest of my life.
Feel me yall??  Have patience and a great month, wishing you all happiness and success in your friendships and relationships. See you all next month.

I think I will add a topic to the forums for discussion on this issue:
What can we do about this?
How can we break the cycle of divisions and distrust and turn it around in our favor?  ---
