Today in MP News: the summit meeting

Fears! Don't have them yall. Because they have a way of coming true. This is very true but I kinda say it in humor right now, because my one fear I had about the meeting cam true. I was concerned there was sooo much that I wanted to cover and needed to cover that I wouldn't be able to remember them when it came time. Well, you know what happened. Yeah I couldn't remember it all. That was more a concern than a fear. Plus, even if I could have remembered it all we would not have had to time to cover it. That time went by so quick. I realized it would have to be a gradual overtime thing, to explain my theories, and share my ideas with everyone. In the process I'll being getting more ideas form everyone so it will be an on going process anywise.
My other concern was that with all the people that have expressed interest in this topic to me, that enough not show up, to demonstrate to each other that there are people interested in networking and taking the initial step of being the giver first and knowing that it will come back to them. I mainly wanna update you all to what's happening with the summit meetings and the one we just had. That was not a big problem we had 7 people at the meeting enough to have some fun & laughs, some great discussions and to demonstrate that there are people that are ready and interested.
I wanna thank Jackie for bringing a guest and thank her guest for coming. Thank you Gwenn. but I gotta tell you we had some good brothers and sisters there. There wasn't anyone there that I wouldn't want to have on my inner circle team to help me build, organize and develop my networking company the WB-NWA. Sharing in the joy of building it and the future rewards that will come for doing something so valuable for a people so valuable. I will keep meeting with people to "network" and to "introduce" them to The WB-NWA, with the hopes of finding a good and dedicated group to help develop and establish this organization. This meeting was a great start.
A little recap:
I discussed my views, vision & ideas on networking. and introduced "The WB-NWA".
I explained mainly that there are 2 facets to what I want to do and coincidentally what the association I'm starting wants to do.
Personally:
1. Encourage networking, support networking, study and learn about networking, and educate others about networking and the beauty and values of it. The networking ambassador. :-) And I will do this with no other interest than in expanding the cause of black people working together. No charges or obligations to join or buy anything...nothing. Just because I believe in networking and working together.
2. Activities to build and establish The WB-NWA. Work for the WB-NWA.
The WB-NWA:
1. Encourage networking, support networking, educate others about networking and the beauty and values of it. And we would do this with no other interest than in expanding the cause of black people working together. No charges or obligations to join or buy anything...nothing. This will be done just because we believe in networking and working together.
2. Activities to build The WB-NWA. To build membership, to build support for and people who use it. The build the usefulness of it. To establish it as one the best, easiest, organized and most immediate ways of getting into to networking. (In other words, if you want to get into networking call the WB-NWA. It will give you ideas, programs and info, and contacts along with want they do and what they are willing to help you or anyone else with.)
I got to explain The WB-NWA concept as a network for everyone one, not just your traditional, typical networkers, like business owners, professionals; doctors, lawyers. Like executives and Ministers and other people with big networks of people already.
All of those are good and we would like to work with them as well but the difference with the wb-nwa is, it is a network for everyone. In the WB-NWA everyone has value to someone.
We go input from all that's what was good and I wasn't sure if we would get. Though it took up much time so we could cover a lot of areas, it was very valuable input from all.
We got input on it being important to establish an identity so people know what to expect and what they can get from us.
In put on everyone's thoughts on what my ideas are pro's and cons. There were concerns over the view point that blacks might have regarding networking and the challenges ahead to getting them involved. Will they work together? Will they go about with a help first agenda? Well others aside from myself stopped up and said yes, Yes, it may not be easy but they will.
We discussed that the benefits from networking may not come directly from the person you meet or talk to or help but it may come from someone they know, who know someone, that knows someone else.
It was amazing the comments that came out from others that are in my philosophy with out me even saying them. I firmly believe that there are a lot of us that are willing, able and ready to something about our past of not working to support each other.
We got a chance to just touch on some of the things everyone has done. They offered info on valuable things they've been involved with.
We viewed the WB-NWA website and pointed out to everyone how to register for the communications tools. And we talked about when we would meet again. Announcement to come.
I just want to thank all in attendance. And I want to remind you of how important it is to sign up for the communications tools. The newsletter, the mailing list, and the forums, so we could efficiently continue to stay in touch and get this train moving ahead.
